This e-book is absolutely packed with valuable knowledge for photographers, stationers, florists, and wedding planners. Even with over 10 years in the stationery and wedding business, there was so much I did not know. My favorite thing about the Invitation Styling Guide is that it breaks down each individual element of a great flat lay in easy to understand terms, and prompts you to consider the intention behind what you create. It also breaks down WHY certain arrangements work best. This guide is helpful if you are ready to invest in a professional camera or stick with your phone camera, and it links exact recommended products. They even took the time to show how a flat lay photo appears when shot on an iPhone with their recommended settings versus a professional camera which I found illuminating. This e-book is an extremely useful investment for anyone ready to step up their flat lay photographs!

I mean, what isn’t in this guide?

It’s beautifully presented, thoughtfully designed, but most importantly, informative and detailed.

Styling can be overwhelming, but the tips that are presented in this guide help narrow down your thought process and lead you to create the most intentional designs. I was particularly pleased with the composition section. There are step by step instructions, along with examples of types of balance, that include photos to show exactly what works and why.

Whether you’re new to the business or a seasoned professional, you’re sure to find this guide helpful and full of great tips for your next shoot!

For me, it has always felt like a privilege to be in an industry that is extremely creative, thoughtful and full of beauty. Over the years, I have found my professional style as an event planner, but I also believe that there is always room for growth, education and improvement. When I was given the honor to preview the Invitation Style Guide, prior to it’s launch, I couldn’t wait to dive in. I have been a huge fan of Pirouette Paper, Sposto Photography, Mulberry and Moss, and Amorology for some time, and I feel like I’ve been given a roadmap to improve upon my most creative potential, enhance my eye for detail, and continue to see the value in creating original content. Yes, all of that from one incredible resource: The Invitation Styling Guide e-book.

As a photo lab, we see images of invitation suites a LOT. The best images always masterfully juggle color, light, and composition in a way that can be hard to define. But the Invitation Styling Guide does exactly that! It explores bigger picture concepts of creativity and intention alongside specific practical tools & techniques—which prepares the entire creative team to shape flat-lays that appeals to clients, publications, and their own artistic aspirations!
